These days one of my favorite outfit combos for work from home, errands, or those easy casual days are Joggers + Sneakers + A well-designed perfectly fitting sweatshirt, which for me is either cropped or oversized.
Since the majority of my life right now includes these types of days, selecting wardrobe basics that are both comfortable and interesting is a top priority for me.
You’ve heard it said “The devil is in the details” and there is no truer statement when it comes to basics. The fit, the shade, the fabric, the logo, the texture, the features, it’s all a factor in making a very simple, plain, or minimal piece feel special.
In this outfit for example, instead of wearing mid-rise joggers with no details, a plain black sweatshirt with no layering, and worn running shoes, I added joggers that I loved the fit, rise, and features of – these were both cargo and high-waisted. Similarly for the sweatshirt, I selected one that had a really cool texture, a cropped fit, and a logo that reminds me of a classic boxing short, which just gives a welcomed cool factor. Sneakers are also a great joy of mine right now, so I took care to select a pair that felt right with this outfit which called for something more sporty almost like a running sneaker.
Taking a casual look like this up just one more notch I added some beautiful simple hoops, and a hobo bag, and styled my hair and makeup to feel fully ready for the day.
The power of a quick hairstyle and a little makeup or an accessory can never be underestimated. These things really make or break an outfit and most importantly how I feel in an outfit.
Now for a quick review of this sweatshirt:

First of all the fabric is like butter, it is just so soft and cozy but keeps its shape at the same time.
Details: I love the quilting on it, and most of all where the logo is placed, it just really elevates this sweatshirt. It also features a cozy hood and a really cool detail that defines the shoulder in a shoulder pad kind of way without being over the top.
Sizing: I ended up sizing up to a medium only because I wanted the crop to hit just a little longer than it does on the gals modeling the sweatshirt. But I could have easily worn a small if I didn’t mind it being super cropped.
Care: As far as wear and tear I have washed it a few times with no pilling, but I am careful with it because the fabric seams pretty delicate and I want it to look nice for a while. So I do spot clean, wear a cropped tee underneath to go longer between washes and wash it inside out in a delicates mesh bag.
