Ooo oo am I excited to be talking about a piece that I have recently added to my wardrobe on the blog today that has been sooo versatile and therefore so rewarding to own.
As you may or may not know I used to have a capsule wardrobe so investing in pieces that would go with a lot of things was the name of my game.
Now, I go by the mantra of “stop prioritizing basics” which I will get into later because I wanna talk on that one for A WHILE.
BUT… when it comes to purchasing a piece that is more of a basic, if it completes several different outfits I’ve been dreaming up, then it’s well worth the investment to me and something I definitely put on the priority list for purchasing.
Ya get me?
As you may have guessed already, that versatile piece is an incredible blazer dress from a brand called Vetta Capsule.
First of all, if you haven’t heard of Vetta Capsule do yourself a favor and check them out.
Vetta is a slow fashion brand that releases seasonal capsules that create 30 outfits with only 5 pieces of clothing. You can purchase the whole capsule or just one item singularly. But every single item transforms into several different pieces (whether that’s by wearing a shirt backward, or without sleeves or the collar, just to name a few).
I’ve bought a piece from them before that has stood the test of time, and today I’m wearing my second and favorite piece so far The Blazer Dress in plaid.
The greatest part of it all? It transforms into three different pieces with just a zip here and a button there, and today I styled it in all its blazer glory.

Now I’ve gotta say, I’ve got the whole blazer with a tee and some straight jeans bug and I’ve got it bad.
It makes sense for me since I have a low key jacket obsession, and it’s the perfect jacket to transition into spring in the climate I’m in. Finding transitional pieces for your climate is so important!
So here’s the breakdown…
Outfit Formula:
Graphic Tee + Straight Jean + Blazer + Booties + Coin Necklaces

This whole look is the perfect blend of dressed up and dressed down.
At the base of this outfit, it’s just jeans and a tee shirt. But jeans and a tee shirt paired with a structured blazer and dress boot adds oomph to an otherwise plain outfit (the necklaces help too;)).
I’ve also paired it with a binocular purse that has been a big shape for bags this past fall and has continued into spring. It adds another layer of sophistication that I’m loving.
If you are feeling like recreating it grab your favorite jeans and tee, a boot or sneaker, and then add that perfect blazer to the look.
I’ve linked a couple below I think might look spiffy, as well as the rest of my outfit details!
Outfit details:
Vetta blazer dress / Similar here / Similar here in warm tones
Graphic tee (old) / Similar (reasonably priced) / Similar here
Authentic stretch cigarette jeans
Coin necklace set / Queen pendant
And that’s it for now!
Stay tuned for the transformation of this blazer into two different looks and then maybe just maybe vote for you’re fav!
so much love,
Mary Beth
