Comfort but make it chic. These are the words I am living by when it comes to my wardrobe this season.
Denim used to be the foundation of my wardrobe, but I am on a journey with denim right now to discover more comfortable styles and the right sizing, which has proved slightly more challenging. So I have decided to take the slow approach with that and meanwhile focus on a new joy – denim alternatives ranging from joggers, all the way to trousers and I am loving all of these new finds. They are surprisingly just as chic as jeans and sometimes if styled right, even chicer!
Last week I shared about a favorite outfit combo of mine that included joggers, if you missed it you can read it here, so it is fitting that this week is about the sister to our beloved jogger – Wide-Leg Active Pants.
Let me start by saying that if you do not have this type of pant in your wardrobe YOU ARE MISSING OUT. Sorry to all caps you, but the pants I am wearing today have been one of the most versatile pants I’ve ever bought in my wardrobe, and drum roll please… the most comfortable.
Today I am styling them in a causal pulled together kind of way, but they look incredible dressed up and I can’t wait to share more looks with you all as I continue to style these.
For this outfit, I am loving a graphic sweatshirt, I wore this Anine Bing one that makes me feel special, my favorite sling bag, a classic New Balance sneaker, elegant hoops, and some classic sunnies. This is a tried and true combo that always works for me on casual days.

A quick note: the exact style of wide-leg active pants that I am wearing today is sold out on the Abercrombie site, but they often replenish this category under their Traveler line here or their YPB line here. I have included a few look-alikes above, but I thought I would add a quick scroll of other pants in the same silhouette that are on my radar. These pants are so well-loved in my wardrobe that I will definitely be adding some similar pairs to my closet soon.
